Ede Akpesiri-Odia is a wife, mother, and the creative force behind Teranky Design. A profound longing for spacious, light-filled, and deeply considered environments runs through everything she does — a sensibility rooted in a richly multicultural upbringing and carried through every chapter of her extraordinary career.With over a decade of design-build experience, a Master's in Interior Architecture from George Washington University, and a Bachelor's in Building Construction, Ede brings rare technical depth to her creative practice. Her early career spanned construction oversight on significant public infrastructure projects, real estate development, and leading her own design practice — before bringing her full vision to North America.Her design approach is deeply personal — she refuses cookie-cutter solutions, instead asking the essential questions that reveal each client's authentic aesthetic. Guided by her Christian faith and love of fashion, culture, and craftsmanship, Ede creates interiors that radiate opulence and timelessness — spaces that age like fine wine, only growing more beautiful with the years.

Teranky Design was born from a deep conviction that spaces have the power to transform lives — and a founder with the vision, training, and faith to make it happen.
Teranky Design was born from a vision that crossed continents — a founder whose roots, education, and career arc shaped a uniquely rich creative sensibility. Ede Akpesiri-Odia brings to every project a rare blend of cultural depth, formal training, and an intuitive understanding of what makes a home feel truly alive.
She asks the essential questions — "why" and "why not" — to uncover each client's authentic aesthetic, refusing cookie-cutter solutions in favour of spaces that feel deeply personal and timelessly beautiful. Her multicultural perspective, shaped by life and work across West Africa, Washington D.C., and Canada, is the quiet force behind Teranky's signature style: warm, considered, and enduring.

Before establishing Teranky's North American studios, Ede built her foundation in construction and real estate — working alongside major development firms and gaining hands-on experience in project management, architecture, and design at the highest level. That grounding informs everything: the technical rigour, the material knowledge, the ability to lead complex projects from concept to completion.
Guided by faith and a commitment to responsible stewardship, Teranky's design philosophy centres on spaces that nourish the body, calm the mind, and reflect the soul of those who inhabit them.
